Sign Up Rules
-
Don’t sign up if don’t think you’ll have the time to participate. It’ll save everyone a big headache in the end. There’s always next time.
-
Once signs up are over, you will receive another email with instructions for posting your story once it’s complete.
-
Stories are due by 12:01 a.m. on April 1st. I will be providing more information about the submission process once the challenge is underway, but I wanted to provide the deadline up front. If you don’t think you can make it, again, don’t sign up.
Story Guidelines
-
All genres are welcome. Yes, this does include slash and Hancest, but you must have a disclaimer or warning with your story.
-
If you’re writing the beginning of a chapter story, you only have to rewrite the first chapter. However, if you’re rewriting a short story, you must rewrite the whole thing.
-
The purpose of this challenge is so show how much you’ve grown as an author, so the older the story the better. This gives you a chance to go back to the beginning and really show how much you’ve progressed over the years.
-
You must provide the original version of the first chapter/short story you’re rewriting.
-
How you choose to rewrite the story is completely up to you. You may change names, locations, starting point, etc., but the basic plot must remain in place.
-
On the sign up form, please put “they’re gone” where it says “In an mmmbop” to show that you’ve read the rules.
If you think you’re up to the challenge, please sign up.
