Rules

1. Don’t sign up if don’t think you’ll have the time to participate. It’ll save us both a big headache in the end. There’s always next time.

2. You have to be willing to take any challenge you’re given. In all likelihood, the challenges will be handed out at random, so there’s no way of telling what kind of things you’ll be given.

3. Fill out the form completely. You can have fun with the challenges, but it would be wise not to give a challenge that you yourself wouldn’t want to face. Who knows? You might end up getting it as part of your challenge in the end.

4. If you have any questions or comments, please send them to aloneinthepretense@gmail.com.

5. Once I’ve received all of the forms, I will take the challenges I receive and will mix them together at random. [I’ll probably do the good ol’ draw it out of hat trick, if you must know. ;)] Once the challenges have been created and matched to each participant, I will send you an email either containing your challenge or the link to where you can find your challenge. Those will be sent out by April 20th at the absolute latest.

6. Stories are due June 8th by midnight, so that does not mean you should absolutely wait until midnight to actually send them to me. When you get your challenge, I will also send out a form that is to be completed along with your story so that once you have finished, you can send them to me instead of waiting until the last day to do so.

7. If it looks like you won’t be done by the deadline, email me and let me know. I won’t bite, and I’m far more apt to be understanding if I actually get an email from you instead of hearing absolutely nothing and having to assume that you didn’t finish. [Yes, that’s happened before.] If I know in advance that you’re going to end up needing an extra day, then we can usually work something out so that your story will be posted toward the end. Don’t, however, go into this assuming that you’ll have this option at the end.

8. If I haven’t scared you away, then head over to fill out the sign up form here.

Do we have to upload a picture or can we just get one off of the tinypic/photobucket site? I don’t have accounts at either of those siter.

Yes, you have to upload a picture. You don’t have to have an account to upload a picture to tinypic.com
