The idea for the exchange came to me from a few different places. First I was inspired by Eve’s collaborations projects, and then I was inspired by seeing exchanges done in my second favorite form of fanfic, which is Harry Potter. I’d seen some exchanges, so I thought why not try it with Hanfic?

Over time The Spark Inside as evolved some, and instead of solely doing exchanges, other forms of challenges have be tried. Instead of trying the same thing over and over, I would love to continue to try different sorts of challenges to keep things fresh and interesting.

This year for Spring 2008 the challenge is called “Worth A Thousand Words,” and it is a picture challenge. The credit for this challenge belongs to Becca. She suggested instead of getting a theme like last year, each participant will be given 1 picture to base their story around along with 2 other items to include in their story, which will most likely be a quote and some other miscellaneous item.

For example, you might look at the picture below and think that Zac looks like he feels left out, and so you would shape your story around what you think is happening in this picture.
